Judy Wilkins, N.C.T.M. maintains a private piano studio specializing in the Suzuki approach. She holds
bachelor’s and masters’ degrees from The University of Texas at Tyler, where she has taught adjunct applied
piano and related coursework, and served as accompanist for The University Chorale and Patriot Singers.
Mrs. Wilkins also serves as accompanist for the Tyler Civic Chorale.
Professional memberships include The Suzuki Association of the Americas, National Guild of Piano
Teachers, Music Teachers National Association, and Texas Music Teachers Association. As a charter
member of East Texas Music Teachers Association she has served in many capacities, including president,
membership chair, nominating chair and currently secretary. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, a
designation awarded by Music Teachers National Association.
Mrs. Wilkins is has a long history of church music ministry involvement, both chorally and as a pianist, and is
currently a member of Marvin United Methodist Church. Other community musical involvement includes music
for Tyler Civic Theatre, and a wide range of choral, stage, and solo accompanying at the middle-school, high-
school, and college/university level. She is also an adjudicator for National Guild Auditions and for various
regional festivals and competitions.
