Miss Bozeman holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a
Master of Music degree from Texas Christian University. Since moving to East Texas, she has
taught at the University of Texas at Tyler, Tyler Junior College, the Choir School of East Texas, and
private students in Tyler. In Fort Worth, she taught piano at Our Lady of Victory School and private
students. At TCU she was a graduate assistant and also taught in the Piano Preparatory School of
the music department. She was director and host of Music of the Masters program on KTCU fm
radio.
In Austin her activities included teaching in the Piano Project at the University under the direction of
Verna Harder. Her graduate pedagogy studies were under Dr. Donna Edwards. Private piano
teachers were Mary David Allen and Mildred McClenny in Dallas, and Dorothy Matthews in Midland.
Piano professors were Dr. Thomas Mastroianni, Danielle Martin, and Luiz de Moura Castro.
Auditions and awards include the Junior Van Katwijk Auditions at SMU; Midland piano ensemble
teams at TMTA conventions; third place in the TMTA Young Composers contest; first place in the
Midland piano solo and piano concerto competitions, and competition at TMTA state auditions in
Austin. She also played National Guild of Piano Auditions including a national and international
program, and received the Wallace Wimberley Memorial Scholarship from the Midland Music
Teachers Association.
Recent activities have included teachers programs at the former TCU/Cliburn Piano Institute, Piano
Texas International Academy and Festival, and serving as an adjudicator at the piano competitions
of World Piano Pedagogy Conferences.
