| The Sarah Kerr Theory Award was established in 2006 by ETMTA, and is given to graduating seniors who have taken the TMTA Whitlock Theory Exams in grades 4 through 12, earned a medal for each test, and received the required 90-point minimum. Russell McCook, was presented the 2011 Sarah Kerr Theory Award by Theory Committee Chair Katy Edwards. Russell was a student of Sarah Kerr as a beginner. He has also studied with Stephanie Johnson, and has continued his piano and theory studies through the present time with Judy Wilkins. He will be presenting his Senior Recital at Braithwaite Recital Hall on May 31, and plans to study Musical Theater at Oklahoma City University. |
| Abigail & Savannah performed one of the pieces that the ETMTA Ensembles will perform at the TMTA annual convention in June. Christiana performed a piece she submitted to the TMTA Original Composition Competition. Alexandra performed a piece from her repertoire she will perform in the TMTA Performance Competition. |
