Students Performed for the
Salvation Army Dinner Hour on
December 15, 2009

Residents of the Salvation Army in Tyler were treated to holiday musical entertainment
during their December 15, 2009 holiday dinner.
The instrumentalists and vocalists are students and teachers affiliated with the
East Texas Music Teachers Association.

Some of the students and parents said they got as much--or maybe even more--
out of the experience as the residents,
who expressed their thanks to the students both during and after the dinner.
A resident also performed a couple of early rock ballads at the end of the evening,
which was enjoyed by all.

Thanks to ETMTA members Kelli Cooper and Brian Braquet, and
Lori Nelson Pallex, Salvation Army Special Events and Volunteer Coordinator,
for coordinating this event.

The evening's entertainment is one of two annual ETMTA service projects.
